Yes. Everything discussed in your sessions is protected by strict confidentiality laws. There are very limited legal exceptions (such as imminent risk of harm), which your therapist will explain in your first session.

Will my spouse or partner know what I say in individual sessions?

No. Individual sessions are completely private. In couples therapy, your therapist will discuss their approach to confidentiality with both partners at the outset.
